Your first visitors were Grandma Faith and Grandma Sandi
9/19- We were told early in the morning that you had an infection in your lungs. The Doctors changed your ventilator from the standard to one that gave of 600 breathes per minute; it's is easier on your lungs. This is a step backwards. They deemed you critical but manageable. You were visited today by Aunt Becky, Uncle Dom, Grandpa Bob, Aunt Stacy, and Cousin Laura.
9/20- Nothing new to report- they had planned on giving you a blood transfusion. Grandpa Alan came to see you.
9/21- Good News Your peeing. The Nurse seemed really exicted. You had flushed 13cc on Thursday and 8 cc on Friday. Today you had expelled 44cc of fluid. This seemed to indicate that your body was no longer storing the fluids and was beginning to work properly.
Mom left the Hospital, she wanted more pampering than what she was getting.
Moments before Kellee left the hospital
We forgot to tell everyone and the Espositos went to the Hospital to see you and Mom. They came over the house and visited for awhile.
9/22- More Good News! Your PDA closed up, there were signs that the infection is going away. They also took you off the drugs for an hour as well as turned of the ventilator so they could turn you on your side; you responded well to both. On the down side…You have a rash. They are not certain if this is a result of the medicine – if so then it’s possibly an allergic reaction.
Grandpa Randy and Grandma Faith came to visit you today.
9/23- You looked good nice and red today. They let mom wipe your mouth from all the bubbles you were blowing. Grandma Teresa and Aunt Tracy stopped by.
9/24- Your umbilical IV came out and an IV was inserted into your arm up to your chest. Nurse Floyd said you did really well.
